Written Installation Steps

Just follow these six easy steps to get your Gateway installed!

Step 1: Find and Save Your Gateway Password

  • Locate the sticker or label on the back of your Gateway device.
  • Take a photo of the label, or carefully write down the password printed on it.
  • Keep this password handy, you’ll need it soon.

Step 2: Plug in the Gateway (and Connect Ethernet if Available)

  • Remove the power cord, power supply, and Ethernet cable from the box.
  • Plug the power cord into the Gateway and then into a wall outlet.
  • If your home WiFi router has an Ethernet port, connect the Gateway to your router with the Ethernet cable.

Step 3: Connect to the Gateway’s WiFi

  • On your phone, tablet, or computer, go to WiFi settings and disconnect from your home network.
  • Find the WiFi network called MerryIoT_Hub-xxxx.
  • Connect using the password you saved earlier.
  • If prompted to “Use Cellular Data,” tap “Keep Trying WiFi.”

Step 4: Open Gateway Settings in Your Browser

  • Open an internet browser.
  • At the top in the address bar, type: 192.168.4.1 and press Enter.
  • If prompted, enter your Gateway password.

Step 5: Complete Network Setup

  • Find “STEP 3: SET WAN” at the bottom of the page.
  • Click Dual WAN.
  • Choose Ethernet First (if plugged in via Ethernet) or WiFi First (if not).
  • Click Next. If you see “Success!”, continue.
  • Next screen: Choose DHCP under “Ethernet Setting” and click Next.
  • Final screen: Select your home WiFi network, enter its password, and click Next.

Step 6: Confirm Connection and Finish

  • Look at the front of the Gateway. If 3 out of 4 blue lights are glowing, you’re connected!
  • If any lights are blinking blue, wait a few moments as it’s still connecting.
  • You’re done! Now follow the Auto Stove Shutoff user guide.
